Extrusion Throughput Control
The heart of the CRG Logics rate Monitor or Extrusion control system is the CRG
Logics, Inc. line of Weigh Hoppers providing a reliable highly precise measure of
throughput. The hoppers are designed to sit on an extruder throat or magnet drawer
and come standard with cast acrylic sidewalls for material viewing and simple clean-out.
Optional proximity sensors can be included to provide a manual fill back-up. CRG Logics,
Inc. line of weigh hoppers can come with optional knife gates to control the filling of
the weigh hopper. Communication and I/O options can be included for integrating into a
central control system.
These hoppers can be supplied with an integrated controller to provide single extruder
throughput monitoring (with the option of control) or a number can be networked together
to control a nine layer extrusion line with a central control system.
